I Know Where I’m Going

darkwillowsWe have descended deep into our third heatwave of the summer. Everyone around me keeps going on about how great the weather’s been. Am I the only one concerned about the long-term implications of this? It would seem so, yes.
Of course, I enjoy the nice weather just as the next person, but….this is not normal for these isles. We are meant to be overcast, cold and damp in the summer. Think cold, wet and dreary, dear reader, not hot and sunny! Definitely not sweltering hot and sunny, third summer in a row.
God, we are so totally cooked.
So this weekend I grabbed an iced latte from Cafe Nero and headed to my local park, as far away from other people as possible. I lay in the grass and let my mind wander.
I thought about great deal of many things. I made some decisions that were long overdue. And I enjoyed every moment spent in contemplation. It’s not often I can carve out quiet time just to think.
